lexis Eve Wynne, the daughter of Barbara and James J. Wynne of Mount Kisco, N.Y., is to be married this evening to Douglas Bradford Mogul, a son of Dr. R. Harriette Mogul and Malcolm D. Mogul of Chappaqua, N.Y. Rabbi William Kloner is to officiate at the Angel Orensanz Foundation Center for the Arts in New York.
The bride, 27, received a master's degree in applied physics from Cornell University in August. This month she is to become a copy editor at Science, the weekly journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in Washington. She graduated from Vassar. Her father, a physicist, is the director of local education outreach at the T. J. Watson Research Center of I.B.M. in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. He is an inventor of the technique of cutting tissue with an excimer laser, which led to the development of refractive eye surgery, known as Lasik. Her mother is the office manager at the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains.
The bridegroom, 28, is a clinical research fellow at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases in Bethesda, Md., studying the association between chronic inflammatory conditions and metabolic bone disease. He is on leave from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he has completed three years of medical school. He graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College and received a master's degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
The bridegroom's mother is an associate professor of endocrinology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. His father retired as the chairman of the Monarch Brass and Copper Corporation, which he founded, in Waterbury, Conn.
