Tara Sue Pfeifer and Alexander Fisher Englander were married last evening by Rabbi Peter Rubinstein at the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan.

Mrs. Englander, 31, is a senior legal analyst at Bloomberg L.P. in New York, where she manages a group that provides research for the company's legal database. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and has a law degree from New York University.

She is the daughter of Myrna and Maxwell Pfeifer of Riverdale, the Bronx. Her father, a lawyer, has his own firm in the Bronx, specializing in personal injury. Her mother, who is retired, worked on a study team that evaluated special education students in the Newark public school system.

Mr. Englander, also 31, graduated from Skidmore. He is a stock trader for institutional clients at Lehman Brothers in Manhattan.

He is a son of Nancy and Robert Englander of Manhattan. His father is the chairman and the chief executive of the Belvoir Media Group, a company that publishes magazines, newsletters and Web sites, in Norwalk, Conn.
